President Obama / Carolyn Kaster, AP

President Obama has a full schedule Tuesday that includes a Passover seder and a remembrance of the Boston Marathon bombing a year ago.

In the late morning, Obama meets with faith leaders to discuss ways to promote an immigration bill now pending in the U.S. House.

The Senate has passed an immigration plan that includes a pathway to citizenship for people already in the country illegally; House Republicans have balked at that approach, calling it amnesty for lawbreakers.

Later, Obama and advisers meet to observe a moment of silence at 2:49 p.m., the moment that two bombs exploded near the finish line of the Boston Marathon last year.

The attack killed three and wounded hundreds.

Later in the day, Obama meets with Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel.

The president and first lady Michelle Obama end the day by marking the start of Passover with a seder at the White House.
