President Obama will visit Oso, Wash., later this month to meet with families affected by the deadly mudslide there, White House press secretary Jay Carney said Tuesday.

Obama will stop in Oso on April 22 before starting out on a week-long trip to Asia, Carney said.

The death toll from last month's mudslide rose to 34 on Tuesday.
