Andrew Taylor went overboard while racing around the world in a yacht. He was rescued after 90 minutes in frigid water. / Clipper Round the World Yacht Race

A British sailor nearly lost his life in the middle of the Pacific Ocean, and it was all captured on video.

Andrew Taylor was thrown overboard during the Clipper Round the World Yacht Race while his team was heading to San Francisco from China. Taylor fought the frigid, rough seas for 90 minutes while his crew searched for him.

The crew is made up of amateur sailors, with extensive training from Clipper. Each team has the guidance of professional skippers for the nearly year-long race.

When the crew finally spotted Taylor bobbing in the waves, they were thrilled to see him wave his hands. His dry suit kept him alive and conscious. Once he was pulled aboard, he was covered in blankets. Watch the incredible rescue in the video.
