Elisha Powers, 4, learned how to unlock a smartphone and call 911 for help. / WXIA-TV

How incredible is it that a 3-year-old in Georgia knew exactly what to do when she saw her father bleeding: dial 911.

Elisha Powers, who has turned 4 since the incident last week, saw her father, Shawn Powers, bleeding after he accidentally cut his right arm with a machete as he was chopping branches.

"I put (the phone) in Daddy's ear and then he talked to the police and then I was crying," she told WXIA-TV. "And then I was really brave."

Her parents say they taught her how to dial 911 last December.
