From left: Jimmy Fallon, Will Ferrell and first lady Michelle Obama during a skit on 'The Tonight Show.' / Lloyd Bishop, AP

On Jimmy Fallon's Tonight Show, guest Michelle Obama offered kale chips as a healthy alternative to potato chips to two teenage girls - Sara, played by Fallon, and Stacy, played by Will Ferrell.

In the six-minute sketch, a spoof of Teen Nick programming, two BFFs on a talk show called Ew! discussed everything from a poster of Harry Styles to Olympics figure skating to jelly doughnuts.

Their featured guest was Obama and, as she sat down, Fallon, wearing a pink bow and blonde wig, said, "Being in front of the first lady is making me nervous."

She gave the duo kale and said, "The best part is they are high in Omega-3 fatty acids." Awkwardly eating the snack, they said they hadn't known that kale had any benefits at all.

While Ferrell said "exercise is ew," the first lady said she tries to exercise daily, and likes push-ups, dancing and lifting weights. "Exercise is not 'ew,'" she said. "You just have to find an activity that is right for you."

A dance party ensued, but was quickly broken up by Sara's stepdad. Bummer, since we know Obama and Fallon can get down thanks to their hit dance, Evolution of Mom, which aired last February and quickly went viral.
