The Syracuse men's basketball team stayed undefeated Wednesday night, thanks to a last-second, 35-foot shot by Tyler Ennis than thrilled Orange fans everywhere -- including a certain vice president of the United States.

Joe Biden, a Syracuse law school graduate, called Ennis on Thursday to congratulate him on the now-viral shot that allowed the Orange to claim a 58-56 win on the road against Pittsburgh.

"The VP called @tdot_ennis today to congratulate him on his amazing 35ft buzzer beater to keep @syrbasketball unbeaten," says the Biden Twitter feed.

Syracuse, now with a record of 24-0 and top ranked in the polls, may have its finest team since winning the national championship in 2003.
