President Obama will travel to Mexico on Feb. 19 for the latest meeting of North American leaders.

The summit also features Mexican President Enrique Pena Nieto and Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper.

The trio will discuss "a range of issues important to the daily lives of all of North America's people, including economic competitiveness, entrepreneurship, trade and investment, and citizen security," said White House spokesman Jay Carney.

The meeting will take place in Toluca, about an hour from Mexico City.

Obama spoke by phone Monday with Pena Nieto about the upcoming North American Leaders Summit, as well as the "progress on the bilateral agenda the two leaders set when they met in May 2013," said the White House.

"The president congratulated President Pena Nieto on the important reforms he has undertaken in his first year in office," the statement said.
