Sen. Mary Landrieu, D-La. / Manuel Balce Ceneta, AP

Sen. Mary Landrieu of Louisiana, one of the most vulnerable Democrats up for re-election next year, is being targeted by a conservative group for her votes supporting President Obama's judicial nominees.

"Mary Landrieu voted for every one of Obama's liberal activist judges," says the narrator in the ad by the Judicial Crisis Network. "Every single one. Even the liberal judges who rubber stamped Obamacare."

The ad also takes a swipe at Landrieu for supporting a recent, controversial Senate rules change that weakens the power of the filibuster and makes it easier to approve most of Obama's judicial nominees.

In a statement about the Senate rules change, Landrieu was quoted by the Times Picayune as saying it was necessary because some GOP senators "have distorted and misused the power of the minority to obstruct and stop progress on important issues."

The Judicial Crisis Network ad is the second on this topic. The conservative group also targeted Sen. Mark Pryor, D-Ark., with a similar commercial that ran in Arkansas for two weeks.

Landrieu, first elected in 1996, is seeking a fourth term in 2014. She's already drawn two Republican challengers, Congressman Bill Cassidy and retired Air Force colonel Rob Maness.
