Lindsey Vonn tweeted a post-surgery picture on Monday, one day after undergoing a procedure to repair her shredded right knee.
The two-time Olympic gold medalist is pictured in her hospital room surrounded by family and wearing a soft cast on her leg.
Success! Surgery went very well yesterday and I'm recovering at home in vail with my family. I want to sincerely thank everyone for their well wishes these last few days. It's going to be a long and hard road back but I will be back!! Xoxo Lv @gopro #postsergurypic #idontlikehospitalpics
1. Vonn has a smile after the operation, but it's a reluctant one. On a scale of 1 to Adrian Peterson, she's about a three.
2. Instagram is great, don't get me wrong, but it's a major pet peeve when people use the artfully unfocused filters for pics that need to be in focus. The cast is the money shot of this photo. Show it! Instead it's blurred like your friend's Facebook picture of his dinner at a restaurant owned by a former Top Chef.
3. Too bad that's a stuffed fox and not a stuffed tiger. (I happily stole that line from a colleague.)
4. Is it poor journalistic form to say, "get well, Lindsey?" I don't care. Get well, Lindsey.
