Coming off a 27-win season with a returning core and high expectations this season with the departure of Virginia Commonwealth from the CAA, Drexel hasn't lived played up to its potential and has been riddled by injuries on the way to a disastrous 7-11 start to the season.

MID-MAJOR COACH DIARY: Bruiser Flint at the beginning of the season

Drexel coach Bruiser Flint will suggest his team needs to play better defense or show more tenacity, but the fact of the matter is this team has been unlucky for much of the season - losing its first two games of the season in overtime and eventually seeing its season unravel with key injuries to Chris Fouch and Damion Lee.

That luck changed on Wednesday.

With the Dragons' game tied 52-all against Hofstra, Drexel senior Frantz Massenat launched a buzzer-beating prayer shot from half court that found its way into the bottom of the net, moving Drexel to .500 in the CAA and providing a potential season-lifting momentum boost.

"I always wanted to be on SportsCenter's Top Ten plays," Massenat told NBC Sports.
