Brent Musberger is not apologizing for his comments over Katherine Webb. / Matt Cashore, USA TODAY Sports

The ballad of Brent Musburger and Katherine Webb continues.

Musburger arrived at Palm Beach airport on Tuesday and was met with questions about who else?

TMZ asked the ESPN broadcaster if he felt his observations of Webb during the BCS championship were inappropriate. Musburger answered with polite brevity, "No."

Musburger also shared his feelings on ESPN's apology to Webb on his behalf.

"You know, individuals say what individuals say, and corporations do what corporations do," Musburger said. "Obviously they felt it was the right thing to do."

As Musburger attempted to escape the TMZ cameras, he answered a parting question about whether he is responsible for vaulting Webb's career onto the national stage.

"I think she had already launched it, I don't think she needed help from me."

Webb announced yesterday that she will be covering the Super Bowl for Inside Edition, which means we have at least another three weeks of breathless updates!
