Brandon Andress and two friends made a 28-hour drive to Canyonlands National Park in Utah to mountain bike and hike. While mountain biking on the Colorado River Overlook 4x4 road, Patrick Fosdick snapped this shot of Andress. During the 15-mile trek Andress said he kept thinking, "This is the most surreal moment of my life. I am riding in one of the most amazing and beautiful places on Earth."
Thursday night, Nack Athens observed a beautiful summer sunset over Seattle, as colors appeared like a painted sky.
"Australia has a thriving wool industry," contributor Matt Lawson said. "I was lucky enough to capture this photo of a flock heading home in Blayney, New South Wales."
Ansley Vasconcellos stood under Scripps Pier in La Jolla, Calif., for a blog photo shoot when mom Cathy Vasconcellos took this photo. "It's amazing how mesmerizing it is to stand underneath a pier, something so remarkably strong yet calming," Ansley wrote. "I could have stood there for hours letting the salty wind blow and listen to the waves crash."
On a trip to Finland, Nicolas Ballesteros discovered a simple row boat and decided to take it out for a spin to enjoy the picture-perfect sunset.
