The top of the Space Needle in Seattle, Wash. / Elaine Thompson, AP

Video has surfaced from a drone that witnesses say buzzed around the Space Needle this week.

The Seattle Police Department blotter says witnesses initially reported Tuesday seeing a drone fly around the top of the Needle and possibly crash into an observation deck window.

Witnesses said the drone, described as a white quad-propeller unmanned aerial vehicle with a camera, then glided to a nearby hotel, where it flew inside a fifth floor window.

Police said in the blotter no damage was found at the Space Needle.

Investigators tracked the drone to a guest staying at the hotel. The man told police he flew it past the Needle, but says it didn't hit anything. He showed video from the drone's flight, which featured people waving from the observation deck and no collision.

The man told police that he was an Amazon employee visiting from out of state and had bought the drone at a hobby shop.

The guest agreed not to fly his drone again during his visit.
