While journalist Annie Moore was covering a murder in Beckley, West Va., she says gunfire passed by her head as she reported the news on camera.

The reporter for WVVA-TV says she didn't see a car drive by because she was concentrating on "getting the shot," the station reports. "My first thought was, 'Oh my goodness, someone shot at me,' Moore said.

She told WVVA that she took cover in a car.

"The only thing I saw was white smoke go by," she said. "This was a person shooting to kill," Moore told the Register-Herald.

Interestingly enough, she got the encounter on film and police said they'll use it to investigate further.

"When I saw that video, my heart sank because I saw how close I had come to death," Moore told WVVA.

Moore went back to work on Tuesday, the Register-Herald reported.
