Hoverboard from 'Back to the Future: Part II' / PropStore.com

This is heavy: Marty McFly's hoverboard from Back to the Future Part IIcould sell for as much as $26,000 at auction.

Actor Michael J. Fox rode the board in the 1989 sequel.

The hoverboard, along with more than 375 props from other movies, will be part of a live auction in London starting Oct. 1, according to a statement from Prop Store and Vue Entertainment, which are holding the auction.

The board is made of solid wood and features a "rare ball-bearing spinning footpad," according to an e-mail to USA TODAY Network from Sian Anderson, project manager with Prop Store.

Among the other items for sale: The golden ticket from Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, a scaled-down alien queen puppet from Aliens, and Arnold Schwarzenegger's biker costume from Terminator 2: Judgment Day.
