Black bear got its head stuck in an old milk can. / Garrett Smith

A black bear was seen struggling by a lumberjack after getting its head stuck inside an old milk can, WEAU-TV in Eau Claire, Wis., reports.

Garrett Smith, a logger in Rice Lake, Wis., found the bear in a cornfield a few weeks ago, the station reports. Smith got permission from the landowner to help it, using his forwarder machine, according to WEAU-TV.

The situation was caught on camera and uploaded to YouTube on July 6.

In the video, Smith operates the machine and uses the claw to hold onto the can until the bear is set free. The bear gets picked up in the air and then wiggles its way out of the can and runs away.

As of Monday evening, the clip had garnered 492,374 page views.

Just last week, a bear cub in New Jersey was saved by the state Department of Environmental Protection after getting its head stuck in a discarded animal crackers jar.
