State wildlife officials rescued a beached baby dolphin Friday in Redington Beach, Fla.
Fourth of July beachgoers saw the juvenile, 4-foot dolphin struggling in the water. A few people tried to help it get back into deeper water. However, they were thwarted by the strong current.
Eventually, a team from the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission arrived and took the dolphin out of the water. They are now caring for the dolphin, with assistance from the Clearwater Marine Aquarium.
