Spectators and marchers took to the streets of Chicago on Sunday afternoon to celebrate the 45th annual Pride Parade. Top Your Take contributor Victor Mirontschuk was there to capture the festivities.

Paradegoers waved rainbow flags and took photos in the first Pride Parade since Illinois legalized same-sex marriage.

Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel greeted a welcoming crowd.

Chicago company Balloons by Tommy showed off its colorful creation as part of the float line-up.

"A couple seem totally not to notice the thousands of people below attending Chicago's annual Pride Parade," said Mirontschuk.

Illinois Gov. Pat Quinn also attended the event and waved to the crowd. More than 1 million people attended the parade, according to a news release from ChicagoPride.com.
