A woman has been banned from the Memphis Zoo after she was caught trying to feed lions cookies, WMC Action News 5 reports.

She was noticed by security last week after throwing things into the lion exhibit and was asked to leave the zoo, spokeswoman Abbey Dane told WMC. But it didn't stop there. The woman's second incident involved hopping the fence and singing to the animals.

"(She was singing) some song that was telling how much she missed them," Michelle Beasley told WMC. In both cases, Dane said the woman was trying to feed the lions cookies.

The woman's actions were reported by zoo visitors who saw her jump the barrier, according to the Associated Press. After the barrier, only wire separates people from the animals.

The zoo later wrote a post on its Facebook wall, asking for people to support local bake shops with the hashtag #cookiesareforpeople.
