Granada has 45 beaches, all open to the public. / Chris Gray Faust, USA TODAY

Grenada, Granada. Tomato, Tomata?

Sure, if you consider an airline booking mistake that cost one Maryland dentist thousands of miles in lost time.

Edward Gamson says that British Airways put him on the wrong flight when he booked tickets for himself and his partner via phone to Granada to see the historical sites in Spain, NBC News reports.

He is now suing, according to the station.

The airlines offered him thousands of miles and nearly $400 each for the trouble, but Gamson told NBC News that when he considered the pre-planned transit and hotels, the trip cost upwards of $30,000.

A spokeswoman for British Airways told NBC that they were "unable to make any comment at this time" due to active litigation.
