Even if you have a personal chef and your own garden full of fresh produce, sometimes even the president just wants to stuff his face with a giant burrito. That's what President Obama did Monday.
Obama stopped Monday for a burrito bowl at a Washington Chipotle during a break from the White House working families summit. Other visitors ordered their food in casual fashion, doing their best not to gawk at the president sitting behind them, chatting with other patrons.
But the visit went viral on Twitter after White House photographer Pete Souza tweeted a photo of Obama reaching over the sneeze guard to point out which toppings he wanted. The Twitterverse was not having it, calling him out for not observing Chipotle etiquette.
This wasn't Obama's first hankering for some fast-casual dining. Earlier this month he went on a Starbucks run down Pennsylvania Avenue. He also stopped at a Virginia burger joint with Education Secretary Arne Duncan. Then there was his Shake Shack run with Vice President Biden in May.
Of course, when you're president these outings come with a sizable entourage. That would be the Secret Service. He can't chow down without them.
But he seems to be taking advantage of opportunities to get out of the office as his term winds down. Obama has said he enjoys getting outside the White House bubble and mingling with regular people.
