In quarterback Art Schlichter’s final game, he fired two TD passes to reach 50 for his career and lead the Bucks to a closer-than-expected victory over the Midshipmen.

Navy battled back from an early 10-0 deficit to take a 20-17 lead early in the second half. But a Jimmy Gayle two-yard scoring run and Schlichter’s nine-yard touchdown pass to Cedric Anderson gave OSU a 31-20 bulge. Navy scored and added a two-point conversion with less than 10 seconds to play to account for the final margin.
